How it works

  1. Open Send and choose files, a folder, or write a note.
  2. Under "Send by email or link" type the email address and press Send by email. Or press Get a link only and share it yourself.
  3. The first time you send by email, confirm your own address with a 6-digit code we email you. This stops strangers from using GleamShare to send spam. Getting a link needs no sign-in.
  4. Your browser locks everything with a random key and uploads only scrambled data.
  5. They open the link, see what was sent, and download it.

Private by design

The key is part of the link after the # sign. Browsers do not send that part to servers, so the GleamShare server cannot read your files or your message. Anyone who has the whole link can open it, so do not forward it.

Limits

Links work for 7 days and are then deleted. You can send to up to 5 addresses at a time. Just a message with no file is fine too.
